Google analytics is a free tool provided by google. it is used to track website performance and collect visitors' activity details like bounce rate, navigation, traffic source etc.
Google Analytics is a web analytics service that provides statistics and basic analytical tools for search engines optimization(SEO) and marketing purposes. The service is part of google marketing platform and is available for free to anyone with a Google account.
five major ways of traffic sources:
- Direct traffic source: it is the most often the result of a user entering a URL into their browser.
- Organic traffic source: it is referring to the traffic that's come to your site through unpaid search results on search engines such as google, yahoo, or Bing.
- Social media traffic source refers to traffic coming to your website, mobile site or mobile app from social networks and social media platforms. For example, a person who clicks on a tweet or a Facebook post and then arrives on your website will be counted as social media traffic.
- Referral traffic source refers to the segment of traffic that arrives on your website through another source, like through a link on another domain.
- Ad traffic source: sources come from either social media or from any other search engines.
1.copy the URL of the blog
2.for the tag type, choose HTML tag. Then, give your tag a name.
3. paste the tracking code in the HTML field.
